Building a log cabin – make it easy on yourself
Abraham Lincoln is said to have been born in a log cabin. So you’re in with good company if you’re thinking of having a log cabin too. Of course not everyone wants to live in one. Some people have a log cabin as a holiday home and some people find it a convenient way to free up space in their main house and move their office out to the back yard.
Whatever your reasons are for wanting a log cabin you will have to decide whether to construct your own, buy a prefabricated kit, or bring in a builder to make it to your specifications. It’s usually cheaper to do the work yourself in terms of labor and construction materials.
